If you’re wondering how the name for Mansinthe came about you may be in for a bit of a surprise. It’s shock-rocker Marilyn Manson’s own personal brand that he launched in collaboration with Mark Lion, who happens to own the French distiller by the name of Absinthe.de. Also don’t worry, nothing unusual “bats blood etc.” has been added to this classically flavored drink and no you don’t have to like his music to like it either.
As it turns out Marilyn Manson, “no that’s not his real name” is no dummy and all you have to do is listen to one of his interviews to know this. Equipped with the musical talent of your average garage band singer he has managed none the less to parlay it into a vast personal fortune through the use of his own “unique creepy show business shtick”.
Hey! If it worked with his record sales, why change it?! So here we go with his absinthe!
Alcohol volume “aaaah!! It’s 666!” “The sign of the beast!!” No kidding, it’s 66.6%. “But of course” Now combine that with promotional adds that show him enjoying a glass of this drink holding his own just severed ear in his hand. “Don’t worry” It won’t make you do that. The irony of it all is that the real shock is that it’s a high quality absinthe made with a combination of classic spices and flavorings.
